Legally recognized in Kenya with the Personal Identification Number P051180559Z, our Kenyan Delegation began on February 5th, 2014, under the Archdiocese of Nairobi. Our main house is the Madre María Campillo Formation House in Magana, Munyu, Thika, Kiambu County. We have additional houses in Buruburu, Nairobi; Kiganjo, Thika; and Salama, Munyu.

Community

As of now, our community consists of 6 Sisters of Perpetual Vows, 11 Junior Sisters, 5 Novices, 4 Postulants, and several other candidates. We are also in the process of establishing a Kenyan branch of our lay collaborators, who support the formation and development of Small Christian Communities.

Mission

Embracing the “LIVE THE GOSPEL AND BRING IT TO ALL” spirit, the Missionary Sisters of the Holy Family-Spain prioritize four key areas:

  1. Living the Missionary Life: We strive to emulate the Holy Family of Nazareth’s simple and hardworking spirit while adhering to the Catholic Church’s guidance.
  2. Accompanying Youth: We support young people in their faith, education, and personal and societal development, all grounded in Gospel values.
  3. Supporting Families: We assist families in building strong communities based on Christian values, where each member feels valued and fulfills their family role.
  4. Parish Collaboration: We actively collaborate with priests in various parish-based pastoral activities.
